Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) a signé le scratch dans les 47,18km de Castagniccia, l’ES12 du Tour de Corse, en bouclant le parcours en 29’24’’4. Le Belge a repris 16 secondes à Elfyn Evans (M-Sport). Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) was the closest with 3 seconds behind despite a mechanical problem slowing him down at the end of the race. Ott Tänak (Toyota) a suivi à une dizaine de secondes devant Kris Meeke. Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) failed 18 seconds ahead of Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) and Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota). Dani Sordo (Hyundai) and Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) were furthest back with more than 22 seconds behind.

 

 

Thierry Neuville takes the lead of the Tour de Corse with a 4''5 lead over Elfyn Evans on the evening of the second stage. Sébastien Ogier climbs onto the provisional podium with 5 seconds ahead of Dani Sordo. Teemu Suninen remains 5th ahead of Ott Tänak who took over Esapekka Lappi. Sébastien Loeb remains 8th ahead of Kris Meeke and Jari-Matti Latvala.

While he was about to take over the head of the WRC 2, Éric Camilli (Volkswagen) saw his car catch fire in the special. The crew was unhurt, but the stage was stopped.
