After having worked for a long time, and successfully, in Rallycross, with notably the Drivers (Mattias Ekström) and Teams titles in World RX in 2016, the Swedish team EKS had decided to reorient its activities towards rally at the end of 2019.
A change of direction materialized by the expected operation of two Skoda Fabia R5s in the premier category of the Swedish rally championship, in addition to a Ford Fiesta R2 in the Junior category.
But the difficulties linked to the coronavirus pandemic ultimately forced EKS to stop its commitment with immediate effect. The structure will, however, provide technical and logistical support to drivers wishing to continue in Sweden or other series.
