Dani Sordo (Mini) takes over the lead Rally of France-Alsace by setting the best time of the Grand Ballon special by completing the 24,02km in 13?28??1. The Spaniard is 2?9 ahead of Petter Solberg (Citroën). Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) is surprised by his delay of 3??5 on Dani Sordo at the end of the special. Mikko Hirvonen (Ford) finished more than 14 seconds from the scratch.
Kris Meeke (Mini) is 12??4 behind his teammate while his opponent Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford) only finishes 3??3. The Ford driver narrowly takes fourth position from the Briton.
