Kris Meeke (Mini) went off the road in the Hohlandsbourg special when he was in fifth place ahead of Mikko Hirvonen (Ford). The crew appears to be unharmed.

Sébastien Ogier takes the lead Rally of France-Alsace by performing the same time as Petter Solberg. The two Citroën drivers completed the 9,87km of Hohlandsbourg in 5:24:4, with Dani Sordo failing at 1:1.

Sébastien Ogier has a lead of nine tenths over the Spaniard while Petter Solberg remains third, 40 seconds behind the Mini. Mikko Hirvonen (Ford) directly benefits from the retirement of Kris Meeke by placing himself in fifth position behind Jari-Matti Latvala. If the positions remained unchanged for the Ford drivers, the team would have no difficulty in applying the instructions.

Note the good performance of Pierre Campana (Mini), who signs the fifth time, ten seconds behind Sébastien Ogier's scratch. The Frenchman regains the advantage over Ken Block and enters the top ten in the general classification.
