The penultimate special of Rally of Estonia 2020 reserved some cold sweats for the competitors of the WRC. The leader of the event Ott Tänak (Hyundai) a manqué de peu la percussion avec un arbre en virant large tandis qu’Esapekka Lappi (Ford) a cédé sa 6e place à son équipier Teemu Suninen à la suite d’un tête-à-queue.

Les autres pilotes n’ont subi aucun problème. Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota) confirme qu’il est le meilleur performer de la manche estonienne avec un nouveau temps scratch. Sébastien Ogier (Toyota) attacks but does not regain enough ground Craig Breen (Hyundai) to steal 2nd position.
Dans le peloton, Esapekka Lappi (Ford) s’est fait une chaleur en partant en glissade à haute vitesse. Le Finlandais a perdu dans l’affaire sa 6e place au profit de son équipier chez M-Sport Ford, Teemu Suninen.
