Luck was with Mikko Hirvonen in Alsace. The Flying Finn took advantage of Sébastien?s abandonment Loeb and the exclusion of Petter Solberg to take third place in the Rally of France-Alsace and come back to the level of the seven-time world champion in the Championship with two events remaining at the end of the season. If the Ford driver regrets the way he inherited this place on the podium, he is impatient to compete in the last rallies, now that the Championship is completely relaunched.

“It's a shame to recover a place because of the misfortunes of an opponent but every point is important at this stage of the season”, comments the Flying Finn. “We will head to Spain both leading the Championship and the battle for the title remains more open than ever with two rallies remaining in the season. I plan to be at my best in Spain and I'm looking forward to an incredibly exciting end to the year. »
