Mexico-SS3: Sordo launches a big attack

Dani Sordo (Hyundai) a mis tout le monde d’accord dans les 31,44km d’El Chocolate, l’ES3 du Rally du Mexique. Avec un chrono de 24’05 »6, l’Espagnol a devancé de plus de 11 secondes son plus proche rival, Elfyn Evans (M-Sport). Kris Meeke (Citroën) a suivi à plus de 13 secondes en précédant son coéquipier Sébastien Loeb. The nine-time world champion was ahead Ott Tänak (Toyota), Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) et Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) which is almost 20 seconds behind the benchmark ahead Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) and Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) finished almost half a minute behind. The Yaris WRC are prone to engine overheating.

Dani Sordo took the lead in Rally Mexico, beating Kris Meeke by around ten seconds. Elfyn Evans climbs onto the provisional podium, preceding Sébastien Loeb by one second. Ott Tänak still completes the Top 5 ahead of Sébastien Ogier who loses three places. Andreas Mikkelsen is in seventh place ahead of Thierry Neuville and Teemu Suninen. Jari-Matti Latvala fell to tenth ahead of teammate Esapekka Lappi.
