Kris Meeke (Citroën) a signé le scratch dans le second passage de Duarte-Derramadero en bouclant les 26,05km en 16’56 »7. Le Nord-Irlandais a repris plus de quatre secondes à Dani Sordo (Hyundai) qui a fait un choix osé en optant pour un mélange de pneus tendres et durs alors que la plupart de ses adversaires ont préféré les gommes dures.
Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) est plus à l’aise puisqu’il termine à seulement trois dixièmes du scratch en précédant Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) et Ott Tänak (Toyota).
Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) finished six seconds behind his teammate but the nine-time champion of WRC lost a handful of seconds by missing a turn.
Dani Sordo sees his lead reduced to 12 seconds against Kris Meeke. Ott Tänak moved up to third place, half a second ahead of Sébastien Loeb. Sébastien Ogier completes the Top 5 ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen, Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) and Thierry Neuville who recovers a position after an error by Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) who left the Top 10 after losing more than two minutes.
