Kris Meeke (Toyota) a perdu plus de 2 minutes sur le dernier chrono du jour en Sardaigne suite à une crevaison alors qu’il occupait la 6e place en étant en lutte pour la 4e position.
Ott Tänak (Toyota) had a perfect day at Rally de Sardaigne puisqu’il s’est offert son 6e scratch consécutif dans les 28,21km de Monte Lerno. L’Estonien a devancé Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) de 5 secondes et Dani Sordo (Hyundai) of 8 seconds. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) set the 3rd fastest time ahead of Esapekka Lappi (Citroën). Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) finished around ten seconds ahead of Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) and Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai).
Ott Tänak concludes the second stage with a lead of 26 seconds over Dani Sordo. Teemu Suninen completes the provisional podium ahead of Elfyn Evans and Andreas Mikkelsen separated in 8 seconds. Thierry Neuville is the first beneficiary of Kris Meeke's problems and takes 6th place ahead of Esapekka Lappi, while the Northern Irishman slips to 8th place.
