While Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) a regagné du temps au Rally de Sardaigne après avoir été ralenti par Kris Meeke (Toyota) dans l’ES15, son rival direct Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) a signé le scratch dans les 6,89km de Sassari-Argentiera en reprenant 5’’5 au Gallois. Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) a été le plus proche avec 3 secondes de retard. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) finished almost 4 seconds ahead Sébastien Ogier. Dani Sordo (Hyundai) finished more than 6 seconds behind but regained a little more than 2 seconds from Ott Tänak (Toyota).
Ott Tänak maintains a lead of almost 29 seconds over Dani Sordo at the Sardinia Rally. Teemu Suninen came back 14 seconds behind the Spaniard. Elfyn Evans remains 4th with 9 seconds ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen. Thierry Neuville is still 6th ahead of Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) and Kris Meeke (Toyota).
