Le duel entre Elfyn Evans (Toyota) and Ott Tänak (Hyundai) tourne en faveur du Gallois à l’issue des spéciales du vendredi matin au Rally of Sweden 2020. The Toyota Yaris took advantage of a poor performance from the Hyundai i20 Coupe to take a slight lead in the general classification.
The Estonian even gives the position of direct pursuer to the rookie Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota), still as efficient and regular as a bonus. Behind, the ranks are frozen, with Sébastien Ogier (Toyota) at the foot of the podium and Thierry Neuville under threat from his teammate Craig Breen.
This special was marked by new problems for veteran Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota). The Finn lost 1'26" due to a mechanical problem, and found himself far away from his colleagues WRC.
