At the end of the first pass of the shakedown of Rally de Turquie, Teemu Suninen (M-Sport Ford) s’est montré provisoirement le plus rapide en bouclant les 4,7 km en 3’27″5. Le Finlandais précède Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) de 1″6 et Kris Meeke (Toyota) of 2″4.
Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) and Ott Tänak (Toyota), winner here in 2018, complete the top 5. Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) ranks 8th, Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) 10th. Dani Sordo (Hyundai) set the 8th fastest time, but not without hitting a large rock on this section, damaging the front bumper of his i20. Pontus Tidemand (M-Sport Ford) complained of intercom problems.
