Ott Tänak (Toyota) est le nouveau champion WRC at the end of the Rally of Catalonia won by Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). L’Estonien a pris la 2e place en devançant de 4 dixièmes Dani Sordo (Hyundai). Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) garde la 4e place pour un peu plus de 6 secondes d’avance sur Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota). Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) termine 6e devant son coéquipier Teemu Suninen. Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) took 8th place ahead of Mads Ostberg (Citroën), winner of WRC 2 Pro, and Éric Camilli (Citroën), winner of WRC 2.
Ott Tänak also took the scratch in the Power Stage by 3''6 ahead of Elfyn Evans. Thierry Neuville followed in 3rd place ahead of Dani Sordo and Sébastien Ogier.
Teemu Suninen suffered a scare when he hit an embankment, tearing off part of his hood.
