Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai Motorsport) a eu la surprise de croiser sur sa route un tracteur durant la première étape du Rally of Australia 2018. The Norwegian driver saw the agricultural machine coming out of a chicane defined by bales of straw and was fortunately able to avoid the accident. But Mikkelsen, unfocused, went off the road a few moments later.
This is not the first time that a Hyundai i20 WRC face this situation, Thierry Neuville having avoided a more serious accident in Germany a few years ago, with a machine operating in the vineyards. The onboard camera can be viewed at 2’15” in the video below.
