Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) a repris près de 3 secondes au leader du Wales Rally GB Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) dans la 19e spéciale, les 10,06km d’Elsi. Le Finlandais a été le plus proche de son compatriote Esapekka Lappi avec 1’’6 de retard, ce dernier ayant signé le scratch avec un temps de 7’17’’1. Craig Breen (Citroën) a cédé plus de 5 secondes sur l’auteur de la référence. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) n’a pas pris de risques en ouvrant la route en se classant à plus de 9 secondes, juste devant son coéquipier Andreas Mikkelsen qui a repris 1’’5 à son compatriote Mads Ostberg (Citroën).
Sébastien Ogier only has a lead of 1''7 over Jari-Matti Latvala before the Power Stage which, exceptionally, will not conclude the event. Esapekka Lappi remains in the match for victory with less than 6 seconds behind his teammate. Craig Breen, on the other hand, finds himself 7 seconds off the provisional podium. Mads Ostberg (Citroën) remains in the Top 5 for less than a second ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen who still leads the Hyundai trio.
