2019 German Grand Prix

It was Max Verstappen who was unsurprisingly elected Driver of the Day in this incredible German GP. The Dutchman took his second victory of the season at Hockenheim after starting from the front row and avoiding the numerous traps caused by the rain.
This is only the 2nd podium for Toro Rosso after Vettel's victory at the 2008 Italian GP!

Albon (Toro Rosso) maintains his 6th place. The commissioners decided not to sanction the Thai despite his daring maneuver which led to the Frenchman abandoning the race.
In the Championship, Hamilton (Mercedes) maintains a good lead over his pursuers even if he finished at the foot of the Top 10. The Briton still has 49 points ahead of his teammate Bottas who retired. Verstappen (Red Bull) is 22 points behind the Finn.
Kvyat (Toro Rosso): “I am very happy to offer this podium to my team. It was a horror movie this afternoon, but we did very well. I have just become the father of a little girl. It’s a wonderful weekend. »
Vettel (Ferrari): “It was a lot of fun even though it was very hard. I had difficulty controlling my car at first but it got better later. I took the advantage in the risky sectors. This race was really long, I wouldn't be able to say everything that happened. »
Verstappen (Red Bull): “The goal was to make as few mistakes as possible. It’s fantastic to win such a crazy race. I am very happy with the performance of my machine. »
Stroll (Racing Point) and Sainz Jr (McLaren) complete the Top 5 ahead of Albon (Toro Rosso) under investigation for his maneuver on Gasly (Red Bull). The Alfa Romeos of Räikkönen and Giovinazzi follow in front of the Haas of Grosjean and Magnussen.
Verstappen (Red Bull) takes his second victory of the season ahead of Vettel (Ferrari) and Kvyat (Toro Rosso) at the end of this crazy race! This is the 7th career success for the Dutchman.
Verstappen (Red Bull) is heading towards victory while being on the last lap of the Grand Prix.
T63 – Vettel (Ferrari) takes 2nd place against Kvyat (Toro Rosso) while still taking advantage of DRS.
T62 – Galsy (Red Bull) left the track and collided with Albon’s Toro Rosso. To the Frenchman's credit, the Thai cut the road by leaving his trajectory at the last moment. L
T62 – Vettel (Ferrari) overtakes Stroll (Racing Point) with the DRS victory. The German is on the provisional podium.
DRS is authorized 3 laps from the finish.
T61 – Hamilton (Mercedes) leaves last place by overtaking Russell (Williams).
T61 – Vettel (Ferrari) returns to the wheels of Stroll (Racing Point) to aim for the podium.
T60 – Vettel (Ferrari) takes the advantage over Sainz Jr (McLaren) to gain 4th position.
T60 – Verstappen (Red Bull) keeps the lead ahead of Kvyat (Toro Rosso) and Stroll (Racing Point).
