Lewis Hamilton wins the French GP at Paul-Ricard (Var). It’s another double for Mercedes with Valtteri Bottas’ 2nd place, the star-studded team remaining undefeated this season. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) completes the podium ahead of Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari).
Carlos Sainz Jr (McLaren) ranks 6th ahead of Daniel Ricciardo (Renault), but the Australian is under investigation for his overtaking of Kimi Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo). The Finn crossed the finish line in 8th place ahead of Nico Hülkenberg (Renault) and Lando Norris (McLaren) who suffered mechanical problems on his MCL34. Pierre Gasly (Red Bull) fails to score points. Romain Grosjean (Haas) is the only driver to have retired, officially due to mechanical problems.
The commissioners are investigating the maneuver by Ricciardo (Renault).
Verstappen (Red Bull) takes 4th place ahead of Vettel (Ferrari) who takes the bonus point for the best lap in the race for 2 hundredths ahead of Hamilton (Mercedes). Sainz Jr (McLaren) follows in 6th place ahead of Ricciardo (Renault), Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo), Hülkenberg (Renault) and Norris (McLaren).
Norris (McLaren) fell to 10th place, being overtaken by Ricciardo (Renault), Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo) and Hülkenberg (Renault).
Bottas secures the double for Mercedes while maintaining the advantage over Leclerc (Ferrari).

T52 – Vettel (Ferrari) changed his tires to aim for the best lap in the race.
T52 – Ricciardo (Renault) threatens Norris (McLaren) on the penultimate lap while Hülkenberg (Renault) is still on the attack against Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo).
T50 – A cone is on the track at the first sector. The VSC is deployed, annihilating any hope of a good end to the race.
T48 – Kvyat (Toro Rosso) managed to gain the advantage over his teammate Albon to gain 14th position.
T48 – Ricciardo (Renault) came back to less than 2 seconds from Norris in difficulty on his McLaren. The Renaults are looking to improve their results in these final laps.
T48 – Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo) still resists the Renault of Hülkenberg who is looking to gain 9th position.
First retirement for Grosjean who had nothing to play for in this race.
T47 – Norris confirms to his team that his management is getting tougher. The McLaren is struggling at the end of the race.
T45 – Duel at Toro Rosso between Albon and Kvyat for 14th place. The Thai is resisting the Russian for the moment.
T45 – Vettel (Ferrari) should change his tires to try to get the bonus point for the best lap in the race. His lead over Sainz Jr (McLaren) is 50s.
