Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2017
Thank you for following us during this live text. The news from F1 and motorsport does not stop this winter with us! Find the analysis of the GP in issue 2142 of AUTOHebdo, available from Monday evening in digital version on all platforms, and from Wednesday on newsstands.
The new F1 logo will be revealed during the podium ceremony.
Felipe Massa ends his F1 career with a points finish, in 10th place, well worth a few donuts!
Relief and joy among the Yellows! Nico Hülkenberg (6th) allows the Renault team to finish the year in 6th place in the Manufacturers' standings!
Valtteri Bottas wins the Abu Dhabi GP! He is ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel.
T55 – Last lap…
T54 – The two best progressions of the day are for Romain Grosjean (11th) and Brendon Hartley (15th), who gained five places in the race.
T54 – There are two loops left to complete. Valtteri Bottas is 4″8 ahead of Lewis Hamilton.
T52 – We are sorry to dampen your hopes of a fight, but Valtteri Bottas took more than two seconds ahead of Lewis Hamilton. There should be no duel for victory.
T51 – Sebastian Vettel (3rd) gets busy setting the lap record; the German is left behind by Valtteri Bottas by 21 seconds.
T49 – Lewis Hamilton once again came into contact with the leading Mercedes. Will we finally see an attack from the Briton today? There are six rounds left.
T46 – What can we say about this final Grand Prix of the year… Ah yes: night has fallen! The track is therefore fresher.
T45 – Ten laps from the finish, the image of Valtteri Bottas slightly ahead of Lewis Hamilton is repeated tirelessly. No attack between the two men.
T41 – It takes our breath away! Kevin Magnussen and Pascal Wehrlein exchanged positions twice without clashing or complaining on the radio. The Dane remains 13th, ahead of the German.
T40 – There are 16 loops left to go, here is the ranking of the top ten:
Valtteri Bottas
Lewis Hamilton
Sebastian Vettel
Kimi Räikkönen
Max Verstappen
Nico Hulkenberg
Sergio Pérez
Esteban Ocon
Fernando Alonso
Felipe Massa
T39 – Incredible! The two McLarens are still in the race, they are doing almost like a charm: Fernando Alonso is 9th, Stoffel Vandoorne 12th.
Carlos Sainz Jr actually left with a wandering wheel:
T34 – While the production is conscientiously filming VIPs, Max Verstappen (5th) comes back a stone's throw from Kimi Räikkönen, 1″2 precisely.
T32 – Esteban Ocon and Carlos Sainz Jr observe their pit stop. But the Spaniard goes wide of the pit lane, it's retirement for the Spaniard, the left front wheel was poorly attached!
T31 – For the moment, it's a blessing for Renault (Carlos Sainz Jr 7th but no stop, Nico Hülkenberg 8th and one stop), who would beat Toro Rosso to the post for 6th place!
