Vettel now has a 7-point lead over Hamilton.
Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) wins the Bahrain GP by winning ahead of the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas. Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari) and Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull) complete the top five ahead of Felipe Massa (Williams), Sergio Pérez (Force India) and Romain Grosjean (Haas). Nico Hülkenberg (Renault) and Esteban Ocon (Force India) complete the top ten.
Max Verstappen (Red Bull) is part of the list of 7 drivers who retired following a brake problem.
Räikkönen failed to reach the podium, preceding Ricciardo. Massa ranks 6th ahead of Pérez, Grosjean, Hülkenberg and Ocon.
This is the third victory in Bahrain for Vettel. This is his second of the season after Melbourne and the 3th of his career.

Vettel started the final lap of the Bahrain GP.
T56 – Alonso returns to the garage. The Spaniard is the 7th driver to retire.
T55 – Alonso is idling on the track. The McLaren driver risks not seeing the finish. This would be another double abandonment. “Engine problem,” says the Asturian.
T55 – Kvyat took advantage of an error from Alonso to take 12th place.
T54 – Hamilton is back to within 7s of Vettel who is in traffic with less than 4 laps to go.
T53 – The marshals wave the yellow flag but no safety car, much to the relief of Vettel. The Ferrari driver is 5 laps from the goal.
T52 – Ericsson is stopped at the side of the track, victim of a mechanical problem. This is the 6th driver to retire.
T51 – Bottas is 6s behind Hamilton and no longer seems able to threaten his teammate. The positions seem fixed at the head of the race. Vettel is 9s ahead of Hamilton. Bottas has around ten seconds ahead of Räikkönen, while Ricciardo completes the top five. Massa is in 6th place ahead of Pérez, Grosjean, Hülkenberg and Ocon who can aim for a 3rd consecutive finish in the points.
T50 – Hamilton came back to within 10s of Vettel. The Briton uses his tires which should suffer at the end of the race.
T49 – Hamilton's penalty will perhaps cost him victory, his delay still seeming too great to hope to regain the lead of the race.
T49 – Mercedes tells Hamilton he has the pace to win the race. The Ferrari driver should nevertheless be able to manage his 12s lead.
T47 – Hamilton takes 2nd place without resistance from Bottas. The Briton, however, was aggressive against the Finn.
T47 – Hamilton takes more than a second per lap from leader Vettel who is perhaps managing his lead. The Mercedes driver is almost in contact with his teammate.
It will be interesting to see if Mercedes will give team instructions again or if they will let their drivers fight on the track...
