Hamilton is now tied on points with Vettel at the top of the Championship.

Verstappen retains his 3rd place by resisting his teammate Ricciardo. Räikkönen completes the top 5 ahead of Bottas, Sainz Jr, Magnussen and the Force India of Pérez and Ocon. Grosjean finished close to the points ahead of the Renaults of Hülkenberg and Palmer. Massa and Ericsson bring up the rear.

Hamilton started the final lap of the Chinese GP.

The fight between Verstappen and Ricciardo for 3rd place.

T54 – Verstappen still has to resist Ricciardo for 3 laps. “It’s ridiculous,” said the Dutchman, who always complains about Grosjean without really being able to catch up with him.

T53 – Verstappen complains about Grosjean not respecting the blue flags. The Dutchman is put under pressure by his teammate Ricciardo.

T52 – With 5 laps to go, Ricciardo came back to within a second of his teammate Verstappen.

T51 – Pérez fitted a new set of tires but the Force India driver was able to maintain his 9th place with a good lead over his teammate Ocon.

T50 – Massa returned to the stands. The Williams driver was in agony with his tires. The Brazilian came out 14th between Palmer and Ericsson.

T50 – Grosjean took the advantage over Hülkenberg and finds himself on the verge of points behind his compatriot Ocon.

T49 – Magnussen takes 8th place against Pérez and somewhat livens up this very dull end of the race…

T46 – Ocon is fighting with Massa to get into the points. The Williams driver is running on worn tires unlike the Frenchman.

T45 – Bottas overtakes Sainz Jr and moves up to 6th place. The Spaniard let the Finn pass.

T44 – If Vettel is more than 8s from Hamilton, Ricciardo is back to less than 2s from Verstappen. The podium is not yet decided.

T44 – Ocon went to the pits. The Force India driver lost a place to Massa and is just outside the top ten.

T43 – Hamilton beats Massa who is ranked 11th. The Mercedes driver is 7″7 ahead of Vettel.
