The crews are now preparing to compete in the second passage of the 12,28km Römerstraße special. Tänak was the fastest in the first pass with a time of 5'57"4. Suninen is expected to start at 12:10 p.m.
Kopecky maintains the WRC 2 Pro lead ahead of Camilli and Ostberg, but the Norwegian should recover with the standard time expected to be adjusted after being stopped in the first SS of the day following Rovanperä's exit.
Ciamin now leads WRC 2 with half a minute ahead of Kreim. The Frenchman is 4s behind Greensmith in 10th place.
Lefebvre is arrested in the special. The Frenchman led WRC 2 ahead of Ciamin, occupying 10th place in the general classification.
Dani Sordo (Hyundai) took advantage of an error by Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) on SS10 of the German Rally to take 20 seconds back from the Finn. The latter found himself stuck in a ditch.
It was Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) who signed the scratch in the 14,78km of Freisen with a time of 8'31''7 allowing him to take 2 tenths from Ott Tänak (Toyota) and Dani Sordo. Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) followed more than 2 seconds ahead of Kris Meeke (Toyota). Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) failed by more than 4 seconds and lost 6 tenths to the Northern Irishman. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) followed a second behind, ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) and Gus Greensmith (M-Sport).
Ott Tänak still has a 6”5 lead over Thierry Neuville. Sébastien Ogier retains 3rd place for 3”2 ahead of Kris Meeke. Jari-Matti Latvala follows his teammate by more than 5 seconds. Andreas Mikkelsen remains 6th ahead of Dani Sordo who is now ahead of Esapekka Lappi by 2 seconds. Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota) is still 9th. Gus Greensmith (M-Sport) took over WRC 2 Pro leader Jan Kopecky (Skoda).
Tänak drops 2 small tenths in Neuville. The Belgian remains 6″5 behind the leader whose Toyota is slightly damaged at the front. “I didn’t have any hot moments. I stay on the attack as much as possible. »
Neuville takes the provisional scratch with 2 tenths ahead of his teammate Sordo. “I am satisfied with my stage, I rode well. »
Ogier sets the 4th time, 6 tenths behind Meeke. The Citroën driver now only has a 3″ lead over the Northern Irishman.
Meeke is ahead of his teammate Latvala by 1″6 and is now ahead of the Finn by more than 5s in the general classification.
Latvala sets the 3rd time, 5″3 from the benchmark. The Finn is still fighting for 3rd place against Ogier and Meeke. “It was a little better but Sordo had an incredible time and I have no hope of doing that. »
This is the 3rd time for Mikkelsen who ranks 8s behind his teammate Sordo. The Norwegian sees the Spaniard come back to less than 15 seconds from his 6th position. “We try everything we can. I attacked a lot in this SS. I am still satisfied even if we can still do better. »
Greensmith sets the 3rd fastest time, around ten seconds from the benchmark. The M-Sport driver was soon to take 12th place from Kopecky, the WRC 2 Pro leader. “It’s certainly a disappointing situation. »
Lappi ranks 20s behind Sordo who recovers 7th place for 2″2 ahead of the Citroën driver. “We got stuck in a ditch. I went wide and couldn't catch her. »
Sordo improves the reference by 2″3. The Spaniard could take 7th place held by Lappi following the Finn's error.
Lappi made a mistake going wide in a right turn. The Finn lost precious seconds.
Katsuta ranks more than 17s behind Suninen. The rookie remains 9th in the general classification.
Sordo and Lappi are ahead of Suninen. The Hyundai driver leads the Citroën by 4 tenths in the first part.
Suninen sets a first time in 8'34″2, more than 6 seconds behind Sordo's scratch achieved earlier. “There was a little more dirt on the road. »
Katsuta is 7s behind Suninen in the first partial.
