Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën) went off the road on SS10 of the Rally Mexico, the 38,31km Lajas de Oro, while he was in 7th place. The crew is doing well.
Dani Sordo (Hyundai) set a new scratch with a time of 28’17”5. Kris Meeke (Citroën) followed 9 tenths behind and took 2”7 from Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport). Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) finished 7s ahead of Ott Tänal (M-Sport) and Elfyn Evans (M-Sport). With 26 seconds behind, Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) took 24 seconds from Juho Hänninen (Toyota). Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) ranked 8s behind the New Zealander.
Kris Meeke now has a 22”7 lead over Sébastien Ogier. Thierry Neuville remains 3rd, 44 seconds behind the Frenchman. Ott Tänak and Juho Hänninen still complete the top five, but Hayden Paddon is 2s behind the Finn. Jari-Matti Latvala inherits 7th place.
Citroën clarified that Lefebvre had not rolled over but had slid sideways after leaving the road.
Meeke takes 2″7 from Ogier, finishing 9 tenths behind Sordo. The Citroën driver now has a 22″ lead over the Frenchman.
Ogier sets the 2nd provisional time, 3″6 behind Sordo’s scratch. The M-Sport driver should lose a few seconds to leader Meeke.
Sordo improves Neuville’s time by 7 seconds with a time of 28’17″5. “I'm enjoying it behind the wheel, even if I'm losing a little time with oversteer. »
Meeke still has a 5s lead over Ogier in the last sector and should increase his lead at the head of the event. Sordo still seems the fastest.
Neuville improves the reference time with a time of 28’24″6, or 8″2 better than Tänak. The Hyundai driver remains 3rd. “The car runs perfectly. The settings are perfect. »
Lefebvre rolled over in the special. The crew is doing well.
Hänninen drops 34s from the reference time and loses 23s to Paddon who is only 2s from 5th place. “It’s not easy right now…”
Tänak took the provisional scratch with a time of 28’32″8. The Estonian improved Evans' time by almost 10 seconds and protected his 4th place. “It didn’t go too bad, but the car could be better tuned. »
Paddon ranks 1″7 behind Evans. The Hyundai driver is in 6th place behind Hänninen who should lose time against the New Zealander.
Bertelli restarted the special but Lefebvre was still stopped.
Sordo is currently the fastest in the special. The Hyundai driver has an 8″ lead over Evans in the 4nd sector.
Lefebvre was stopped in the special just 3km from the finish. The Citroën driver was in 7th place ahead of Latvala.
Bertelli rolled into a hairpin. The Italian will wait for the other cars to pass to finish the special, the windshield being broken.
Latvala ranks 10s behind Evans. The Finn seems slower than Lefebvre and should remain 8th. “Evans is doing a very good stage. The stage was very long and the brakes no longer worked very well. I lost time in the muddy section. »

Latvala started 5 minutes after Gorban in this special so as not to be slowed down by the Mini JCW WRC that he could have caught.
