After the still undefined problems of Elfyn Evans (Ford Fiesta R5), Lappi dominates the WRC-2 with 38″9 ahead of Pontus Tidemand (Skoda) and 39″5 over Teemu Suninen (Skoda). Elfyn Evans fell back to fifth place more than 1'18" behind Karl Kruuda (Ford Fiesta R5)
In WRC-2, Esapekka Lappi scored another scratch in his Skoda Fabia R5 with a 2″ lead over Teemu Suninen's sister car. Pontus Tidemand is in third place at 3″2, but it was on the side of Elfyn Evans that events precipitated since the Briton lost more than 4″ in SS50.
Jari-Matti Latvala set the best time of this SS10 in 7'47"3 and took 1"6 from Kris Meeke (DS3) still leader of the Rally Finland with an 18"6 lead over the Finn from Volkswagen. The main news of the special is Sébastien Ogier going off the road into a ditch. The Frenchman, helped by the spectators, was able to leave but conceded more than 16′ in this mishap.
The World Champion's worries benefit all the drivers who gain a rank, with the exception of Ott Tänak, who suffered a puncture in this sector and who lost 25″9 on Latvala. Ford Fiesta driver Dmack fell to 8th position behind Mads Ostberg (Ford).
Abbring (Hyundai), Bertelli (Ford) and Al-Qassimi (DS3) joined the finish. Gorban (Mini) continues to suffer from transmission problems.
Craig Breen concedes 8″9 on Latvala at the end of this SS10. 7'56″2 for the Irishman.

Kris Meeke fails 1″6 behind Latvala but retains the lead of the rally.
New disillusionment for Ott Tänak (Ford) who suffered a front-right puncture and lost 25″9 to Jari-Matti Latvala, still the best provisional time of this SS10. The Estonian drove like this for around seven kilometers.

Mads Ostberg finished in 7'53″7 after experiencing a problem with the windshield washer which worked during the majority of the SS.

It was Andreas Mikkelsen who was the first to arrive at the stop point. The Norwegian confirms that the three-time world champion is stopped in a ditch at a hairpin on the right. Mikkelsen finished the SS in 7'51″6.

Ogier and Mikkelsen started this 10th special of the day in Finland. 5″7 separate the two teammates before this SS in the general classification, still dominated by Kris Meeke and his DS3 WRC.
