Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) signs his 7th scratch at the Rally Finland by completing the 7,39km Äänekoski-Valtra in 3’23”4, 4 tenths ahead of his compatriot Teemu Suninen (Ford). Ott Tänak (Ford) followed 7 tenths ahead of Craig Breen (Citroën) who finished 2 seconds behind. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) ranked more than 3s like Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota).

Esapekka Lappi now has a 3”5 lead over Jari-Matti Latvala. Teemu Suninen remains 3rd, 15 seconds from the race lead. Juho Hänninen (Toyota) still completes the Finnish quadruple by having a 2s lead over Craig Breen. Elfyn Evans (Ford) follows in 6th place with 2 seconds ahead of Mads Ostberg (Ford). Thierry Neuville took 8th position 3”4 ahead of Kris Meeke (Citroën).

AUTOhebdo has learned that Ogier could decide to voluntarily abandon the 2nd stage tomorrow and start again in Rally 2 on the last day. Julien Ingrassia, who also went to the hospital for examinations, was still stunned after leaving the road on SS4. The decision will be made tomorrow morning depending on the form of the co-pilot.
