Ole Christian Veiby (Skoda Fabia R5) is once again heading towards the best time in WRC2 in this SS12.
Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) performed well in this SS12 by setting the best time, and especially coming back to 4″9 overall from Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport Ford), 6th in the SS, after this first loop.
Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota), second fastest in SS12, increased his lead to 7″ over Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) in the fight for third place. Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) took fifth place against Mads Ostberg (Citroën), 4″9 separating the two drivers.
Craig Breen (Citroën) follows in seventh position ahead of Jan Kopecky (Skoda Fabia R5), new leader in WRC2 after suspension problems for Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën C3 R5) in SS11.
Mikkelsen says he made a mistake at the start of the SS with a spin, and had to go a few meters in the opposite direction to get going again.
Mikkelsen (Hyundai) sets the 10th provisional time, 36″1 behind Neuville.
Suninen finishes after encountering a puncture. 21’10″2 for the M-Sport Ford driver. Suninen admits to missing braking and hitting an embankment.
15″7 behind Ott Tänak (Toyota) on Neuville’s best provisional time. The Estonian admits that his choice of hard tires is not necessarily the best, but the soft ones he kept could help him tomorrow.

Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport Ford) was unable to do anything in this SS against Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). 14″6 behind for the world champion on the Belgian’s provisional best time. “A bad rhythm. I had a lot of oversteer. I need to attack more in the afternoon. »

Mads Ostberg (Citroën) fails 5″1 behind Paddon who overtakes the driver of the chevron brand overall for fifth place. “We have to work on the car,” admits Ostberg. The stages are fast and enjoyable but I'm not confident with the car. I have trouble feeling the grip and I can't really attack. »
