Craig Breen (Citroën) took the scratch in the second pass of Torntorp, SS12 of the Swedish Rally, completing the 19,88km in 9'55"3 and gaining 1"3 from the leader of the event Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) followed at 2”5, gaining 1”4 from his teammate Andreas Mikkelsen. Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) was five seconds behind his teammate Ott Tänak who took more than seven seconds from Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota). Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) finished around half a minute behind.

Thierry Neuville retains the lead of Rally Sweden with a 4” lead over Craig Breen. Andreas Mikkelsen retains third place for two tenths ahead of Hayden Paddon. Mads Ostberg (Citroën) remains in fifth place with only around ten seconds ahead of Esapekka Lappi. Jari-Matti Latvala remains seventh, half a second ahead of Ott Tänak. Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) remains ninth ahead of Kris Meeke (Citroën). Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) came back eight seconds from 6th place occupied by his teammate Sébastien Ogier.

Neuville gives up 1″3 to Breen. The gap narrows further at the front with only 4″6 ahead for the Hyundai driver. “I drove well but we have an extra spare wheel compared to him. We should be at an advantage at the end of the day with this additional rubber. »
