Ott Tänak (Ford) lost more than a minute in Amarante, 12th special of the Rally of Portugal, by hitting an embankment and damaging his suspension.
Sébastien Ogier (Ford) signed the scratch by completing the 37,55km in 24'41''5. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) was the closest, 6 seconds behind his teammate Dani Sordo. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) followed at 9s ahead of Craig Breen (Citroën), Esapekka Lappi (Toyota), Mads Ostberg (Ford), Kris Meeke (Citroën), Juho Hänninen (Toyota), Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) and Elfyn Evans (Ford).
Sébastien Ogier takes the lead of the Rally of Portugal with a 19s lead over Thierry Neuville. The Belgian now has a 5”5 lead over Dani Sordo. Craig Breen climbs to 5th place with half a minute ahead of Ott Tänak. Juho Hänninen follows in 4th position ahead of Elfyn Evans, Esapekka Lappi and Mads Ostberg.

Tänak fell to 5th place, finishing 1'23 behind Ogier's scratch. The Frenchman is now ahead of the Hyundais of Neuville and Sordo. “I hit an embankment and broke something at the back. »
