Esapekka Lappi loses 1″7 on Rovanperä… the championship leader is getting dangerously close to his compatriot Finn for 2nd place, with a gap of 4″8 between the two drivers!
Elfyn Evans still lost time compared to Rovanperä: the Welshman finished 3″2 behind the Finn, the overall gap rose to 3″9 for 3rd place.
Evans: “I haven't really been able to find the confidence to take this last risk. I was also perhaps too careful on certain notes in the first part. I wasn't fully into it. »
Rovanperä continued his effort and set the best time in 6'34″2, or 9″6 faster than Neuville! The Finn, however, is not very satisfied with his special: “We'll see how the other guys get on. It wasn't a good step for me - I don't like it that much and there are a few seconds I could have taken. »
Takamoto Katsuta loses more time on Neuville and concedes 3″4, while the rain returns!
Thierry Neuville improves the best time by 10″5 ahead of Fourmaux, with a 6’43″8.
Neuville: “Everything is fine – I was just a little surprised by the grip (…). It's much better now than this morning, but we have to try to keep Taka behind. »
Pierre-Lois Loubet finished 1″8 behind his compatriot Adrien Fourmaux.
8 tenths behind Greensmith on Adrien Fourmaux.
39″2 behind for Jari Huttunen on this special… power steering problem for the Finn.
Huttunen: “We don’t have power steering. There's nothing we can do here, so I drive slowly. »
Adrien Fourmaux crosses the line and sets a time of 6'54″3.
The rain seems to have stopped in Finland, but the road is still very wet.
Adrien Fourmaux sets off, let's go for SS13, the shortest special of the morning!
