Ott Tänak (Toyota) dismounted on the second pass of Mataderos – Cuchilla Nevada, the 14th special stage of the Rally Argentina. The Estonian who occupied second place in the general classification seems to have suffered a mechanical problem.

Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) scored his second consecutive scratch by completing the 22,67km in 11’44”4. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) and Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) were the closest with 2 seconds behind, just ahead of Kris Meeke (Toyota) and the Hyundais of Andreas Mikkelsen and Dani Sordo. Thierry Neuville now has a 50 second lead over Andreas Mikkelsen who becomes his closest rival. Kris Meeke completes the new provisional podium a dozen seconds behind the Norwegian, ahead of Sébastien Ogier by 4 seconds. The Frenchman gained two positions by taking over Dani Sordo and taking advantage of the retirement of Ott Tänak. Jari-Matti Latvala finds himself 6th, a dozen seconds behind the Spaniard, ahead of Teemu Suninen. Mads Ostberg finds himself 8th in his C3 R5 at the head of WRC 2 Pro.
