SS14 of the Rally Argentina, second passage in the long ES Los Gigantes – Cantera El Condor (38,68 km), saw Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) and Ott Tänak (Ford) sign the best time tied in 19' 45″5.

The tandem is ahead of Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) by 2″, and Sébastien Ogier (Ford) by 2″7. Latvala (Toyota) follows at 12″3 ahead of Elfyn Evans (Ford) at 15″1, after losing the rear diffuser of his Fiesta WRC M-Sport.

The latter, however, remains in the lead of the event, but sees his lead reduced to 30″4 over Neuville before the final timed sector of the day. Tänak completes the provisional podium, 38″8 behind Evans.

The main change in the general classification follows the stop of Mads Ostberg (Ford) in the SS, with a Fiesta damaged in the rear suspension after hitting a rock.

The Norwegian will give up his fourth place to Sébastien Ogier. Latvala (Toyota) moved up one place, as did Paddon (Hyundai), Bertelli (Ford), Hänninen (Toyota), who lost 1'38″9 in this ES, Tidemand (Skoda), leader in WRC-2, and Dani Sordo (Hyundai).

Elfyn Evans (Ford) continues to lose time by handfuls of seconds. The Briton concedes 15″1 on the Neuville (Hyundai) / Tänak (Ford) tandem.

Evans maintains a 30″4 lead over Neuville and 38″8 over Tänak at the head of Rally Argentina. Sébastien Ogier (Ford) will recover fourth place after the misadventure of Mads Ostberg (Ford) in this sector. The Frenchman is 57″2 behind Evans.

Mads Ostberg (Ford) is reported stopped in the special 4km from the finish with a damaged Fiesta at the back! The Norwegian was in fourth place before SS14.

Neuville (Hyundai) matches the performance of Tänak (Ford) on this SS14 in 19’45”5. The Belgian remains 8″4 ahead of the Estonian in the general classification in the fight for second place.

Third fastest time for Sébastien Ogier (Ford) 2″7 behind Ott Tänak. The gap between the two M-Sport teammates increases to 18″4 overall. Ogier, however, increases his lead over Latvala to 27″9.

Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) is 2″ short of taking the benchmark time against Ott Tänak (Ford). Note that Paddon arrived after the Estonian, while the Hyundai driver had to start before the M-Sport resident in the running order.
