Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) took more than 2 seconds from Sébastien Ogier in Sweet Lamb Hafren, SS15 of Wales Rally GB. The Belgian, however, finished 2 seconds behind Ott Tänak (Toyota), closest to the scratch of Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai). The Estonian lost his rear bumper, a fact which greatly upset him since he can no longer hear the notes well.
Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) finished 4 seconds behind Andreas Mikkelsen with more than a second ahead of Kris Meeke (Toyota).
Ott Tänak now has a lead of more than 10 seconds on Wales Rally GB. Thierry Neuville is the closest after taking over Sébastien Ogier by 2”3. Kris Meeke follows 6 seconds ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen who relegated Elfyn Evans to more than 5 seconds. The Welshman still precedes his teammates Teemu Suninen and Pontus Tidemand. Craig Breen (Hyundai) is 9th but the Irishman left several minutes late, presumably to help Thierry Neuville.

Tänak finished 4 tenths behind Mikkelsen and ahead of Neuville by 2 seconds. The Toyota driver now has a 10″ lead over the Belgian who has become his closest rival.
