Rovanperä is still fastest in WRC 2 in SS16. His lead over Pietarinen is now more than 53s. Veiby took 3rd place, 6 tenths ahead of Huttunen.

Ott Tänak (Toyota) signs his 5th scratch of the day in as many special stages contested so far in the second stage of the Rally Finland. The Estonian completed the 8,95km of Tuohikotanen in 4'26''0, tied with his teammate Jari-Matti Latvala and thus further increased his lead over Mads Ostberg (Citroën) by more than 3 seconds. Esapekka Lappi completed the Toyota top three on this route, preceding Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) and Teemu Suninen (M-Sport).
Ott Tänak now has a 27 second lead over Mads Ostberg who sees Jari-Matti Latvala come back to less than 18 seconds. Hayden Paddon and Esapekka Lappi complete the Top 5 while Teemu Suninen is 6 seconds behind his compatriot. Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) keeps the advantage over his teammate Elfyn Evans for just over 2 seconds. Craig Breen (Citroën) is still ahead of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) in 10th position.
Tänak equalizes Latvala's time and increases his lead over the Norwegian by another 3″3. The Citroën is 27s behind the leader.
Ostberg sets the 5th time, 3″3 behind Latvala. “We will change a few things for the next SS. » The Citroën driver still has more than 17s on the Finn.
Latvala improves the reference of his teammate Lappi by another 9 tenths. The Finn remains well placed in 3rd position.
