Ott Tänak (Ford) achieved the scratch in the first pass of Fafe, 16th special stage of the Rally of Portugal. The M-Sport driver completed the 11,18km in 6'42''3 with a tenth ahead of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Sébastien Ogier (Ford) only lost 9 tenths to the Belgian. Craig Breen (Citroën) loses ground against the Estonian by being more than 9s behind.

Sébastien Ogier maintains a lead of 16 seconds over Thierry Neuville. Dani Sordo (Hyundai) remains isolated in 3rd place ahead of Ott Tänak who now has a 12s lead over Craig Breen.

The crews will notably compete in the famous Fafe special (11,18km) which will serve as a Power Stage in the second passage. The pilots will face 42,93km before seeing the finish. The day will begin at 10:08 a.m. with the Fafe route.
