The second pass of the second stage of the Rally Finland will start at 13:55 p.m.

Jari Huttunen (Skoda) remains solid leader of WRC 2, still having a lead of almost a minute over Quentin Gilbert (Skoda). Fabio Andolfi (Hyundai) took 3rd place in the category in the last special of the morning against Hiroki Arai (Ford). Éric Camilli (Ford) is 13s behind the category leader, but the Frenchman is not entered for victory. Ole Christian Veiby (Skoda) retired after an accident in SS15.

Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) scored his 4th scratch in a row by winning the Saalahti special, SS17 of the 4,21km Rally Finland, in 1'58''4. The leader of the event increased his lead by half a second over his teammate Esapekka Lappi who finished tied with Ott Tänak (Ford). Teemu Suninen (Ford) followed a second behind, gaining 1”4 from Juho Hänninen (Toyota).

Jari-Matti Latvala leads the group of Finns with a 7”8 lead over Esapekka Lappi. Juho Hänninen remains 3rd with only 1”4 ahead of Teemu Suninen, himself threatened by Elfyn Evans (Ford) who remains 5s from 4th place. Craig Breen (Citroën) follows 10 seconds ahead of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai).

Lappi drops half a second to Latvala and finds himself 7″8 from the lead of the race. “I don't need to change anything on the car because it is very good. I don't know if I'll be able to fight him because he's doing a really good job, but it's not over. »

Latvala signs the provisional scratch with a time of 1'58″4 where he is half a second ahead of Tänak. “Let's wait and see what Esapekka does, but it's been a good morning. »

Suninen finished 6 tenths behind Tänak and came back 1″4 behind Hänninen in 3rd place. “I'm going to regret for a while that I made my mistake this morning. »

Breen achieves the 4th provisional time, 1″7 behind Tänak and remains around ten seconds behind Evans’ 5th place in the general classification. “We will try to increase the pace on the second pass, but it's hard because the road is slippery. »

Hänninen achieves the 4th provisional time, 1″9 behind Tänak, being threatened by Suninen and Evans who is less than 7s behind the Toyota driver in the general classification where he occupies 3rd place. “I didn’t encounter any problems. Maybe a little too careful. »

Ostberg signs the 6th provisional time, 6″7 behind Tänak with his suspension and brakes damaged. “I only had the brakes on the front and it was complicated. That's what happens when you go out, you could have given up. »

Evans finished a second behind Tänak and continued to put pressure on Suninen for 4th place.

Neuville is the closest to Tänak with 1”5 behind. " There is nothing to do. We are following our objectives by wanting to regain points from Ogier. We've already had trouble in Finland but it's been a long time. »

Meeke drops 3″4 on Tänak despite the short distance of the special. “It’s difficult at the moment. » The Citroën driver now only has a 12″ lead over the Estonian in the general classification.

Al Qassimi set a time of 2'10"3 but Sordo quickly beat him with a time of 2'02"5. The Hyundai driver is now in the top ten.
