Kris Meeke (Citroën) scored his fifth consecutive scratch at the Rally de Catalunya by completing the 18km Riudecanyes SS16,35 in 10'19''5. Dani Sordo (Hyundai) almost put an end to the Northern Irishman's series, but the Spaniard failed by two tenths. Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) followed at 1”1, gaining 2”1 from his teammate Ott Tänak.

Kris Meeke has a 27”3 lead over Sébastien Ogier before entering the Power Stage. Ott Tänak lost contact a little with the Championship leader, trailing 4''4 behind the Frenchman.

Mikkelsen achieves the 6th provisional time, 7s behind Meeke's scratch. The Hyundai driver is in 20th place. “We found the radio after having problems. We still suffer from understeer. We will continue as we did for the Power Stage, but I need more time to aim for points in this special. »

Ogier can be content to ensure now. The M-Sport driver should increase his lead over Neuville to 35 points (not including bonus points from the Power Stage) if he maintains his 2nd place. With two rallies still on the program, a maximum of 60 units remain to be collected with the event victory and the Power Stage victory.
