Rally Finland 2021
Ranking of the special:
General classification :
See you at 12:18 p.m. for the Power Stage!
The positions seem definitively fixed at the 2021 Rally Finland. On this penultimate special of the event, no developments are to be reported, apart from the new performance of leader Elfyn Evans (Toyota).
The Briton, although reported to be seven tenths behind Ott Tänak (Hyundai) at the last intermediate point, found sufficient energy to jump his Estonian opponent on the line with a two tenth margin! Here he is, more than ever, in a position of strength.
In WRC2, Teemu Suninen (Volkswagen) forgot his Saturday evening radiator alert and sailed towards a deserved category success ahead of Mads Ostberg (Citroën).
Elfyn Evans is impregnable. He sets a new scratch time with a margin of 0″2 over Ott Tänak, even though he was reported 0″7 behind at the last intermediate point!
Ott Tänak does not admit defeat. He signs the best provisional time with 1″6 ahead of Esapekka Lappi.
Craig Breen is smiling even if he gives up 2″4 to Esapekka Lappi. “I'm looking forward to the Power Stage, it will be a great place to finish the rally. »
We find a hierarchy similar to the previous specials. Esapekka Lappi finished his special with the best provisional time ahead of Sébastien Ogier by 3″3.
Adrien Fourmaux sets the 2nd time, 5″5 behind Katsuta. “I just try to have as much fun as possible. These are the last stages that I can do on gravel with the Ford Fiesta Rally1, before an asphalt event. »
It's already the penultimate special stage of this event: Laukaa 2 (11,75 km)! Takamoto Katsuta will start at 10:01 a.m.
