Ott Tänak (Ford) was the fastest over the 22 km of the Mittelmosel special, a piece of bravery of this Friday day in Germany. The M-Sport driver took the scratch in 13'00"3 and was ahead of Sébastien Ogier (Ford) by 2"3 and Andreas Mikkelsen (Citroën) by 3"4. Elfyn Evans (Ford) follows in fourth position at 4″8 ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) at 7″1, whose Yaris bears the scars of hitting a post in SS1.

Sébastien Ogier (Ford) is logically faster than Neuville on this SS3. 8″6 ahead for the Frenchman who will move back in front of the Belgian in the general standings, with a 6″1 gap between the two main competitors for the world title.

Neuville explains that he went out on a wet patch in the vineyards. The damage to the front of his Hyundai i20 appears to have caused him to lose aerodynamic downforce.
