Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) signed the scratch by completing the 18,47km of Röjden, 2nd special of the Swedish Rally, in 9'37''3. The Belgian beat Kris Meeke (Citroën) and Ott Tänak (Ford) by 2 seconds. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) and Mads Ostberg (Ford) followed more than 4s behind, while Elfyn Evans (Ford) and Dani Sordo (Hyundai) finished more than 7s behind. Craig Breen (Citroën) follows at 8s ahead of Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) and Sébastien Ogier (Ford). Juho Hänninen (Toyota) is the slowest with Stéphane Lefebvre (DS 3).

Thierry Neuville finds himself in the lead with 3 seconds ahead of Ott Tänak and Kris Meeke. Jari-Matti Latvala follows at 4s ahead of Mads Ostberg, Dani Sordo, Elfyn Evans, Sébastien Ogier, Hayden Paddon, Craig Breen and Juho Hänninen.

Röjden is a classic stage often used in national rallies. The route includes a 12km passage in Norway and offers a good mix of slow and fast sectors. A very delicate jump is present towards the middle of the special. The route is the same as last year.
