The i20s in good shape this Friday. After Tänak, it was Breen who set the best time with a time of 5'44″8, 3 tenths faster than that of his teammate
After the scare, Katsuta finished in 6'06, 20″9 behind Tänak. The Japanese more than limited the damage
Katsuta will no longer be overall leader at the end of SS2. The Japanese made a mistake in the last sector and spun after losing control of his Yaris. More fear than harm for the Nippon who is on the road again. What a rescue!
Evans is no longer leading the special. The new leader is called Tänak. Winner of the last two editions, the Estonian dominates this SS2 with a time of 5'45″1. He was 9 tenths faster than the Welshman. He announces the color
5'47″5 for Rovanperä who is provisionally ranked 2nd, 1″5 behind Evans. The latter seems to have gone heavy in this first real special of the weekend. “Grip is difficult to find”, underlines the Finn after his 2nd pass of the day
No improvement for Neuville who finished 3rd, 4″5 behind Evans with a special completed in 4″5. “It was a rather slippery stage. I suffered a little with the understeer”
Unsurprisingly Ogier's mark does not hold up. Evans immediately beats his teammate with a time of 5'46, 3″8 faster than that of the Frenchman.
On the line, Ogier stopped his time at 5'49″8, thus signing the first reference of this SS2
