Lefebvre received a 20s penalty for leaving the service park late. This will not change the race of the Citroën driver who lost several minutes in the morning after rolling over in SS3.

Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda) still dominates WRC 2, occupying 13th place in the general classification. Éric Camilli (Ford) is at the foot of the provisional podium in the category completed by Pontus Tidemand (Skoda) and Teemu Suninen (Ford). His compatriots Yohan Rossel and Yoann Bonato, both on DS 3 R5, had less success. The first retired in SS2 following a water leak while the second went off the road.

Kris Meeke (Citroën), Ott Tänak (Ford) and Craig Breen (Citroën) took the scratch in the 27,46km Ponte de Lima with a time of 19’14”0. Sébastien Ogier (Ford) was the closest with a second delay. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) followed at 2s ahead of Dani Sordo (Hyundai) and Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota). Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) followed more than 7s ahead of Mads Ostberg (Ford) and Elfyn Evans (Ford).
Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) finished 16s behind, complaining about the dust raised by Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën). The Frenchman was able to reach the finish of SS4 despite his C3 WRC being damaged and with three punctured wheels, but still lost more than 4 minutes.
Jari-Matti Latvala now only has a half-second lead over Kris Meeke at the top of the Rally Portugal. Ott Tänak completes the provisional podium one second just ahead of Craig Breen and Sébastien Ogier. Hayden Paddon, Thierry Neuville and Dani Sordo are grouped within a few tenths, around ten seconds from the lead of the race. Mads Ostberg and Esapekka Lappi complete the top ten ahead of Juho Hänninen (Toyota).

Lefebvre, who ended up with three wheels on the rim, came to apologize to Lappi. The Citroën driver still lost more than 4 minutes.
Lappi ranks 16s from the scratch and remains on the outskirts of the top ten, less than 9s behind Evans. “I couldn’t see much, there was a lot of dust because of Lefebvre. »

Meeke equals the time of his teammate Breen and Tänak. The Briton is Latvala's closest rival with half a second behind at midday.
Paddon signs the 7th provisional time, more than 6s from the provisional scratch. The New Zealander is 5th with only a tenth lead over his teammate Neuville.
Breen matches Tänak's performance and is 1″4 behind provisional leader Latvala in the standings. “You really feel that the car is fast and that gives you confidence. It does exactly what we want. »
Evans lost more than 15 seconds due to a puncture. The Dmack driver finds himself more than 7s behind Sordo in the standings.
