Monte-Carlo Rally 2022
Meet at 11:35 a.m. for the start of SS5, the last of the first loop of the day
Overall, Sébastien Ogier remains in control of Monte-Carlo with a 2" lead over Sébastien Loeb. The duel between the Sébastiens promises.
Loeb is in good shape for his return to the WRC. After his scratch during SS3, the Alsatian continued with a 7'40″1 which allowed him to beat Tänak by 0″8. “I feel very good in the car. I tried to push in these first two stages and the car is working well”
Difficult special for Solberg who lost 13″7 on Tänak with a time of 7’54″6. The Swede did not hide his frustration in his cockpit upon arrival.
Small spin without consequences for Solberg who immediately left
Nice special from Greensmith with a Ford Puma which seems to be working well. The Englishman clocked 7'43″9, 3 seconds off the mark set by Tänak
7'43″3 for Breen who finished 2″4 behind Tänak. The Irishman is provisionally 5th in the special while waiting for Solberg, Greensmith and Loeb to pass
The gaps are tight in this SS4. With only 4″ behind Tänak, Katsuta ranks 3th. The Japanese completed the special course in 5'7″45
This ES4 definitely smiles on the Hyundais. After Neuville, it's Tänak's turn to beat the benchmark for the special. The Estonian temporarily takes the lead with a time of 7'40″9, 0″1 faster than his Belgian teammate.
Rovanperä still can't do it for his part. The Finn completes SS4 in 7'47″1 and drops 6″1.
Neuville finds color again. 7'41 for the Belgian who takes the lead of SS4 with a 0" lead over Evans. A good omen for the future? To be continued… “Nothing has changed though. It’s still so scary.” The Hyundai driver still does not seem comfortable despite the good time
Evans wakes up and takes 1″3 from Ogier. The Welshman temporarily takes the lead in the special with a 7'41″5
Ogier stops his time and establishes the first reference of this SS4. 7’42″8 for the Habs. “It slips quite a bit so it’s difficult to find grip in certain places” breathes the Gapençais rather happy with his passage
The route of the 4th special of this Monte-Carlo 2022, 13,94 km long, the shortest of the day
Here are the images of the Fourmaux accident during SS3. The Habs finished their race in the ravine and their rally should end there.
