The classification of SS5:
Kris Meeke (Citroën) went off the road on SS5 of the Sardinia Rally while leading the event. The Briton was able to reach the finish despite his roll but lost more than 7 minutes.
Dani Sordo (Hyundai) also lost a lot of time (one minute) due to an engine problem while in 5th place.
Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) signed the scratch by completing the 14,14km of Tergu-Osilo in 9'06''3 with more than 3 seconds ahead of Mads Ostberg (Ford) and Hayden Paddon (Hyundai). Ott Tänak (Ford) follows more than 4 seconds ahead of Juho Hänninen (Toyota), Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) and Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota). Andreas Mikkelsen (Citroën) is the first driver more than ten seconds from the scratch. The Norwegian is ahead of his former teammate Sébastien Ogier.
Hayden Paddon finds himself at the head of the Sardinia Rally with 4 seconds ahead of Juho Hänninen who retains 3nd place for a tenth ahead of Mads Ostberg. Ott Tänak and Thierry Neuville complete the top five ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala, Sébastien Ogier and Andreas Mikkelsen. Dani Sordo fell to 2th place while maintaining a 9s lead over Esapekka Lappi.
Lappi seems to be doing well with his gearbox problems since he takes the scratch with a time of 9'06″3 where he is 3″3 ahead of Ostberg. The Toyota driver is in 10th place, 4″3 behind Sordo.
Ostberg improves the benchmark with a time of 9'09″6, taking 4 tenths from Paddon. The Norwegian finds himself on the provisional podium following Meeke's accident, being one tenth behind Hänninen.
Meeke lost more than 7min in SS5. The Citroën driver finds himself several minutes from the top ten.

Mikkelsen finished 6″8 off the provisional scratch. By gaining 3″5 from Ogier, the Citroën driver is less than 16s behind his former teammate. The Norwegian gains a position with Meeke's worries.

Meeke was able to restart on SS5 after putting the Citroën back on the road with the help of spectators. The Briton lost several minutes following his exit.
