Wales Rally GB 2016
While fighting for third place on Wales Rally GB, Craig Breen (Citroën) rolled in Myherin, the 5th special stage of the event.
Sébastien Ogier (Volkswagen) was once again the fastest with a time of 18’01”4, ahead of his teammate Jari-Matti Latvala by 4”8. Ott Tänak (Ford) followed at 7 seconds, complaining about the rear end of his Fiesta RS WRC. Kris Meeke (Citroën) finished around ten seconds from the scratch, ahead of the Hyundais of Hayden Paddon and Thierry Neuville by 4 seconds. Dani Sordo (Hyundai) is still marking time, 4 seconds behind the best time.
Sébastien Ogier increased his lead against Ott Tänak to 15 seconds. Jari-Matti Latvala keeps 3rd place, now 6s ahead of Kris Meeke. Hayden Paddon follows the DS 3 WRC by almost 4 seconds. Thierry Neuville is still around ten seconds from the top five.
Lefebvre achieved the 10th provisional time, almost a minute from the scratch. “I lost my concentration after the Breen crash. I drove in the middle of the road without taking the slightest risk. »

The crews are preparing to compete in the second passage of Sweet Lamb.
Camilli achieved the 9th provisional time, 37s from the scratch. The M-Sport driver is more than 4 minutes behind the leader.
Meeke signs the 4th provisional time, 3″3 behind Tänak but finds himself 6″1 behind Latvala overall.
Tänak lost 7″4 to Ogier after dropping his pace towards the end of the special. “We have a problem at the rear…”
Ostberg drops 3s to Sordo and finds himself 23s behind the Spaniard overall.
Latvala is the closest to Ogier with 4″8 behind. The Finn finds himself 37s behind his teammate Ogier at the top of Wales Rally GB.
Sordo ranked 11″6 behind Neuville and is now more than 27s behind the Belgian.
Paddon set the 3rd provisional time, ahead of his teammate Neuville by a tenth. The New Zealander maintains a lead of 10 seconds over the Belgian.
Breen rolled away. The crew is doing well, but the Irishman should not be able to continue.
Neuville ranked more than 14s behind Ogier. The Belgian is fighting for 3rd place.
Tänak took another 1”7 from Ogier in the 2nd sector. The gap between the two drivers is now 6s.
Breen is stopped on SS5. The Citroën driver was in 6th place ahead of the Hyundais of Neuville and Sordo.
Mikkelsen fails more than 2 minutes behind his teammate Ogier. The Norwegian should fall out of the top ten at the end of SS5. “It’s a difficult stage. It's even more complicated with only rear-wheel drive. »

Mikkelsen lost almost 2 minutes to Ogier in the 3rd sector. Latvala is for the moment the only one to be faster than the Frenchman, ahead of him by 6 tenths in the 2nd split, but Tänak's times are still awaited.
Ogier set a first time of 18'01"4, 5"6 better than his first time.
The strategies are identical to this morning for the drivers wearing Michelin: 5 soft tires except Mikkelsen who took 6.
