Special victory for Kalle Rovanperä who takes control of the Kenya Rally with a 1″2 lead over Thierry Neuville, 3rd in this SS5

General classification after SS5
6th time for Fourmaux in 10'17″4 who once again beats his teammate Greensmith. The Frenchman finished 17″5 behind Rovanperä, leader of the special and the rally
Greensmith finished in 10'22″4, 22″5 behind Rovanperä
9'59″9 for Rovanperä who takes control of the Kenya Rally with a 1″2 lead over Neuville
Katsuta finished 1″7 behind Tänak in this 5th special. The Japanese posted a time of 10'06″7
Regarding tires, Ogier; Fourmaux, Rovanperä and Katsuta have 2 hard and 4 soft while Greensmith made the opposite choice. Tänak and Neuville have three tires of each type for this 2nd loop
Despite his stall, Tänak temporarily took the lead on SS5 with a time of 10'05. He relegated his Belgian counterpart to 1″2
Neuville improves Ogier's time with a time of 10'06″2, 2″1 faster than that of the Frenchman
Small stall for Tänak at a hairpin. More fear than harm, the Estonian immediately left

As for retirements, Solberg will not return to the road this weekend due to excessive damage to his i20 while Evans and Sordo should be there this Saturday
Sadly we couldn't completely fix the issue from SS2 before SS3 or SS4 as we were right on the limit in terms of maximum time allowed we stopped again during SS4 to try and fix it, but the chassis is too damaged and we can do no more so we have to retire from the rally… pic.twitter.com/6F32ccJaXP
