Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) retains the lead of the Sardinia Rally at the end of SS7 where he finished 4s behind Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) who completed the 19,05km of Monte Olia in 13' 04''9. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) and Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) are the closest, 1”3 behind. Juho Hänninen (Toyota) took a second back from the leader.

Ott Tänak (Ford) followed at almost 7s, preceding Sébastien Ogier (Ford) and Mads Ostberg (Ford). Andreas Mikkelsen (Citroën) failed after half a minute, losing several seconds by stalling in the hairpins.

Dani Sordo (Hyundai) lost more than 7 minutes in the special. His turbo is still defective.

Hayden Paddon retains the lead of the Sardinia Rally with a 4s lead over Juho Hänninen. mads Ostberg follows 5s behind the Finn with a 11s lead over Thierry Neuville and Ott Tänak who find themselves tied. The fight for the top five is tight since Jari-Matti Latvala came back 2”2 behind the Estonian and the Belgian.
