Sébastien Ogier set the best time of this SS7 ahead of his world championship rival Elfyn Evans and Belgian Thierry Neuville. The overall leader Dani Sordo settled for fourth place, 5 seconds from the lead. He still managed to increase his advantage over Teemu Suninen by 5″2. He is 22″6 ahead of the Finn. Meet at 8:38 a.m. for the start of SS8.

Here are the sets of tires chosen by the drivers for the first four special stages of the day. At Toyota (Ogier, Evans, Rovanperä, Katsuta), everyone chose 5 sets of mediums. Ditto for Hyundai (Tänak, Sordo, Loubet). Suninen and Greensmith (Ford) start with six sets of mediums just like Neuville at Hyundai.
