Suninen: “We obviously learned things. This will be useful for future rallies. »
Al Qassimi is unsurprisingly the slowest, the Citroën driver still more than a minute behind Tänak's scratch lead.
Evans: “I had a lot of difficulty in this stage, especially in this SS. The day was difficult. »
Suninen remains one of the slowest, but the Finn is at least 1″5 ahead of his teammate Evans. He remains somewhat isolated in 10th place.
Breen: “Our pace seems better and it's nice because I didn't feel like we were moving in the right direction. »
Evans is once again behind. The M-Sport driver is the slowest with more than 15 seconds behind the reference. The Welshman slips to 9th place, 2″4 behind Lappi.
Breen stands out by setting the 3rd time, 2″8 behind Tänak. The Citroën driver regains almost 6s from Ogier and is less than 5s behind the 5th place occupied by the Frenchman.
Lappi: “It was a difficult day. We had a good morning but suffered from two punctures. The tires are fine, it's just this problem of going off the rim. I guess it's bad luck. At least we are at the finish of the stage. This is a good thing to learn. But a good result seems difficult now. »
Sordo: “I always lose time towards the end of the SS. We stay in the fight. »
Sordo finished 3″6 behind Tänak, dropping 2″2 to his teammate Neuville. The Belgian takes 3rd place for 9 tenths ahead of the Spaniard.
Meeke: “Can't follow Tänak today. I also lost a little time with my puncture. We're forecasting fog tomorrow morning, we'll see what happens. »
Lappi ranks 6″1 from the reference time. The Toyota driver is battling Evans for 8th place.
Mikkelsen: “We have to put the puncture behind us and move forward. We obviously didn't want this passage to go like this, but tomorrow's stage promises to be dangerous and we are not giving up. »
Meeke ranks 5″9 behind Tänak’s time, dropping 4″5 to Neuville. The Citroën driver maintains 2nd place with a 5″9 lead over the Belgian, 22″7 behind Tänak.
Tänak: “It’s definitely a good day, except for my mistake in SS2. The car really suits me. »
