Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) started the second stage of Wales Rally GB with another scratch on the 9km Aberhyrnant SS13,91. The Dmack driver set a time of 7'30''2, 2''5 ahead of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai), his closest pursuer. Ott Tänak (M-Sport) followed more than five seconds behind, ahead of his teammate Sébastien Ogier by a few tenths.
Elfyn Evans now has a 30-second lead over Ott Tänak who maintains second place with three seconds ahead of Sébastien Ogier. Thierry Neuville came back to less than seven seconds from the provisional podium.

Evans starts the day with a new scratch with a time of 7'30"2, 2"5 better than Neuville and 5"4 better than Tänak. The Dmack driver now has a half-minute lead in the general classification over the Estonian.

Tänak is closest to Neuville, 2”9 behind the Belgian but 8 tenths ahead of Ogier. The Estonian retains his 2nd place in the general classification with 3 seconds ahead of his teammate.

Welcome to the live text of the second stage of Wales Rally GB!
The second day will be the longest stage of the Welsh event. The crews will have to compete over 142,38km timed spread over five special stages, four of which will be covered twice. The drivers will start in reverse order.
Al Qassimi will open the route in the 13,91km Aberhirnant from 8:55am.
