Ott Tänak (Ford) started the second stage of the Swedish Rally by taking the scratch on SS9 at Knon, completing the 31,6km in 13'45''5. Sébastien Ogier (Ford) was the closest, 2s behind, while Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) was less than 6s behind by taking 4s from Jari-Matti Latvala.
Dani Sordo (Hyundai) followed at 13s, finishing one second ahead of Kris Meeke (Citroën). Craig Breen (Citroën) ranked 16s between Mads Ostberg (Ford) and Elfyn Evans (Ford). Stéphane Lefebvre (DS 3) was almost a minute behind.
Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) lost more than a minute in the special after his power steering broke.
