Note the good performance of Norris with the 4th time and a 2nd row. The Englishman is ahead of his compatriots Hamilton and Russell. On the French side, Ocon ranked 8th ahead of Sainz and Alonso who made a mistake at the start of Q3

09h

Verstappen takes provisional pole in 1’18”154 while Sainz misses out with the 9th time!

09h

Hamilton does not improve and is even pushed back to 6th place by Russell who sets the 4th provisional time

09h

After finishing 1 thousandth ahead of Verstappen at the start of Q3, Pérez finished 1 thousandth behind Leclerc this time with a lap in 1’18″240

The green flag is waved once again. The Mercedes are the first to hit the track

09h

The big loser of this red flag is Sainz. The Spaniard had to cut his effort less than 100 meters from the finish line. His time was therefore not taken into account and he will not have the right to make mistakes during his next outing.

Qualifying will resume at 9:25 a.m.

09h

Just before the red flag, Leclerc managed to move into 1st position with a time of 1’18”239

09h

Alonso in the wall and red flag! On his flying lap, the Spaniard who had set the best time in the 2nd sector made a mistake in turn 11. “ I lost the hydraulics “, he immediately indicated on the radio. Terrible disillusionment for him and Alpine who could perform well

09h

1’18″399 for Verstappen immediately beaten by Pérez who was 1 thousandth faster!

That didn't work for Gasly who finished 11th, just 9 hundredths shy of qualifying for Q3. Bottas, Tsunoda, Zhou and Schumacher are also eliminated. On the other hand, it passes for Hamilton and Ocon respectively 8th and 10th. Also note the McLaren's passage into Q3 for the first time this year, with Norris 6th and Ricciardo 9th.

Pérez took cover by setting the best time with a lap of 1’18”340. He took almost 3 tenths ahead of Verstappen
